Tilly Doro was named after founder Nogah Rotstein’s grandmother who was a Holocaust survivor. Through Tilly, Nogah learned that “nothing should be wasted or taken for granted”. Nogah Rotstein began her a career as a jeweler and spent over a decade making private label accessories for brands like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. Since it’s founding in 2012, Tilly Doro uses recycled materials to design pieces that keep waste out of landfills and gives old adornments new life. All pieces are sculpted and hand-formed into textured shapes that are cast in recycled metal (primarily brass and zinc) and coated in gold plating. Influenced by nature and dedicated to sustainable and conscious business and production choices, each Tilly Doro piece is handmade in Brooklyn with love.
