WUAMAN is based in Denver, Colorado and primarily uses Alpaca fiber from three small farming communities in the Southern Andes of Peru. On a mission to preserve textile traditions and art, such as pedal loom weaving, embroidery and crochet, WUAMAN permanently employs over 200 artisans from the Andean communities that use these techniques. Their packaging, tags and labels are made from recyclable materials. WUAMAN produces in small batches and buys directly from a Fair Trade Certified Artisan Manufacturer.
